Beijing

Beijing, China!  WOW!  It is hard to believe we are finally here!  Instead of pinching to see if it is a dream, just step outside and feel the Freezing Temp !.  The flight was long but aside from me having to play Paramedic to treat a hypoglycemic patient and a sick kid....uneventful.  Yes, I was the only medical person they could find on the plane of 269 persons to assist.  No they had nothing to work with diagnostically, just old school patient assessment.  The flight crew was very appreciative though.  We are headed out for a walk about to see a few things here in Beijing, no pictures yet but just watch the picture gallery tab on the side of the page.  Talk to you later...Andy

Connie-  The wait is over and we are so very happy to be just days to having our little boy in our arms!
I am seriously considering just staying here!  The 13+ hour flight was the most horrible ride I have ever taken! My mother says "that I must come home"!!  We are getting ready to go out for a walk.  Keep watching for updates.

Thursday-  We went to the bank....an interesting experience.  We went on the subway, I wish we had more of these in US.  Very organized and safe but just alot of people.  We then went to a shopping mall with alot of variety.  Later, Maria took us to a local place she likes to eat called a Hot-Pot.  Very tasty, very good.  I will just have to describe it in person but it was very good.....cabbage, Mutten, Lamb Meat, potatoes, Lotus Fruit, all in a Hot Pot together.  Pretty Good!.

Friday-The Temple of Heaven-  It certainly is Serene!  It is amazing the culture of the country and the people.  The words really would not do it justice so we will just let the picyures speak for themselves, when I get them all uploaded.  The other places we went on Friday were good, but

Saturday-  By far the best visisted.  Tiananmen Square , Forbidden City and Yes- The Great Wall.  Again, simply amazing  the culture, the architecture....all amazing.!  The pictures will get posted soon.

We are packed and ready for Ray tomorrow.  Connie is very ready, as am I.  We met with the other members of our group today for the tour.  Extremely Nice people and very informative as to events and the discussions of what is to come.  Their experience will be valuable to us and welcomed!

We leave very early tomorrow for Ray's Province...We are So Blessed!  I can only imagine if the people in his province are only half as nice as everyone here in Beijing.
